The Balanced Physician Programs Make Up For What Medical School Forgot To Tell You
It applies to physicians as to any other professionals: 85% of your success is determined by the combination of interpersonal and self-management skills and only 15% by technical (i.e. clinical) skills. This doesn’t mean that clinical training and education can be neglected but the best clinical skills cannot be truly leveraged without the appropriate interpersonal and self-management skills.
The Balanced Physician coaching and training programs don’t address clinical topics but all the other issues that come with being a successful, effective, and fulfilled physician:

Individual Coaching - It is most effective for the busy physician and physician leader who wants to make progress in the shortest amount of time. For convenience, coaching sessions are conducted via the telephone, in person, or Skype video calls on a weekly / bi-weekly basis. Appointments are set for the same day and time of every week so you can book them into your schedule. We also offer 1- or 2-day intensive on-site or off-site meetings for those motivated physicians who want to make significant improvements quickly. The coaching is designed to help you re-order priorities, take time to assess your career and personal life, and then take action… despite the uncertainties that frequently accompanies change! The goal is to create a values-based action plan designed to take you in the direction you desire.
Team and Group Coaching – adapts coaching principles for the small group context. Coaching sessions are conducted by phone, via Skype, or in person for groups ranging from 3-10 members. Groups can be several physicians coming together and working on a similar goal or entire health care teams. Group coaching programs can also enhance the ROI of many learning initiatives by sustaining the learning cycle for your staff, ensuring that learning is transferred to the work place. Many of our training programs offer group coaching programs as a follow up option.
Medical Staff Retreats – can be critically important in helping you maintain a focus on quality and efficiency in your practice / organization.
